11 Wayne Road
Milford, Massachusetts

If you get lost trying to follow these directions, call us at 1-508-478-5002 (from a cellular phone) or 1-888-494-3455 (from a pay phone) to help you get un-lost.

  1. Take I-95 to Massachusetts exit 6-B, I-495 North. This might be north from Providence, Rhode Island, or south on route 128 from Dedham, or south on I-93 from Quincy. (If you start from farther north than Dedham or Quincy, then it's probably better to follow the directions from the north.) The town line between Foxboro and Mansfield goes right through the center of this cloverleaf interchange.
  2. Take I-495 north to exit 20. This exit has only one ramp. It is in Milford, and is state route 85, aka CEDAR Street at this point. Route 85 begins in Milford and proceeds north through Hopkinton. There is a big rush-hour traffic jam farther along this route, so if you arrive at this point between 4 PM and 6:30 PM on a weekday, you might continue to exit 21-B instead, and join another route at that point, though it is six miles farther.
  3. At the base of the ramp, turn left onto route 85 south.
  4. At the first traffic light, turn right onto DILLA Street. You will have passed a Mobil station on the right, and a Sports Authority and Lowe's entrace on your left. At the light, there is a Wendy's restaurant on the near right, a cemetery on the far right, a Courtyard Marriott on the near left, and a Gulf station on the far left (which is usually cheaper than the Mobil; all gas stations in Milford have full service only, because the town bans self service). A left turn at this light would put you on FORTUNE Boulevard, which goes through a local business park. But don't go left; that's just in case you find confusing signs, which at least are not there as of this writing.
  5. At the end of DILLA Street, turn left onto PURCHASE Street. DILLA Street is one mile long, and ends at a traffic light. At rush hour, especially in the evening, DILLA Street has an enormous backup at this light, which may delay you for ten or twenty minutes. If you are coming in at rush hour, you may want to take an alternate route. At this light, there is a convenience store on the left.
  6. Turn right onto FOUNTAIN Street, after a tenth of a mile. This is the second right. The first right, ARIEL, is a dead end. There is another convenience store on the left, across from FOUNTAIN Street.
  7. At the first traffic light, Turn right onto CONGRESS Street. FOUNTAIN goes up a hill just over a quarter mile (three tenths) to this light. On the far right corner, there is a playing field, and just beyond that to the right, a cylindrical water tower, which you will pass on your left.
  8. Bear right at the fork to stay on CONGRESS Street. This fork is seven tenths of a mile beyond the light at FOUNTAIN Street. The left fork is NO VINE (the NO is for NORTH), and shortly passes the Woodland Elementary School on the left, but don't go that way.
  9. In just less than half a mile, turn left onto WAYNE Road. This is the second left after the fork. There is a red and white fire hydrant on the right across from WAYNE Road. Drive slowly when there are leaves on the trees, or you might not see the street sign until it is too late to brake gracefully.
  10. Our house, #11 WAYNE Road, is the sixth house on the right. It is also the last driveway on the right before WAYNE Road ends at WOODRIDGE Road. The house is bright blue; think Disney™. The number 11 is on the mailbox, but not on the house.
  11. Park, either in our driveway or on the street. (When there is snow that needs plowing, parking on the street is not a good idea.) Walk to the front door and ring the doorbell. Often we can't hear it, so if there is a long wait and you don't have a cell phone, open the door (if it is unlocked, there is someone on the premises) and bellow. At the present time, the back bedroom on the right side (standing in front of the house) of the second floor is the control/mastering room.
